From July 14 to 18, 62 students and 2 professors from Xi'an Jiaotong University, majoring in nuclear engineering and nuclear technology, visited TSNP for a five-day study and exchange on nuclear power.

At the welcoming ceremony and meet-and-greet, Professor Wu Pan of Xi'an Jiaotong University expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful arrangement of TSNP. He briefly introduced the development history and educational features of the nuclear engineering and nuclear technology programs of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and encouraged students to closely integrate theoretical knowledge with on-site practice through this study tour, so as to gain insight into the front-line work of the industry.

Li Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager of TSNP, attended the ceremony, introduced the development history of CGN and the background of the world's first EPR project of TSNP, and deeply analyzed the crucial role of nuclear power in the China’s “3060” carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategic objectives; drawing on the training system of operators, the division of job responsibilities and the path of career development, he answered the students’ concerns in detail, and encouraged them to apply the theory learned in class to practice and in turn, use practical experience to deepen their understanding of theory. Finally, he expressed his hope to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the university and jointly promote the training of nuclear power professionals.
